How do I schedule a consultation?

Is the consultation really free?

Yes, completely. Your first one-hour consultation is complimentary — no strings attached. We’ll come to your home, walk through the space together, and give you a clear picture of what we’d recommend and what it would cost. You decide from there.

Do you provide estimates?

Yes, we provide personalized estimates after an initial consultation to assess your specific needs.

Are you insured?

Yes. Home to Home Services is fully insured, giving you complete peace of mind when we’re working in your home.

What areas do you serve?

We serve clients within a 25-mile radius of Richmond, VA, which includes Henrico, Chesterfield, Midlothian, Short Pump, Mechanicsville, Ashland and more. Clients located 25-60 miles away are welcome with a minimum 4-hour booking. Contact us if you’re unsure — we’ll let you know right away.


Organizing Services

What type of spaces do you organize?

We organize every area of the home — kitchens, pantries, closets, bedrooms, home offices, garages, basements, playrooms, and more. We can also take on full-home organizing projects for clients who need a comprehensive fresh start.

Do I need to buy organizing supplies beforehand?

No need to buy anything before we meet. During your consultation, we’ll assess what products — if any — would genuinely help your space. We can provide recommendations, help you shop, or source supplies on your behalf. We never recommend products you don’t need.

What happens to items I want to donate or discard?

We can assist with responsible donation and disposal of unwanted items. We work with local Richmond, VA donation centers and will coordinate drop-offs so you don’t have to worry about it.

How long does an organizing session take?

We typically limit sessions to four hours to keep energy levels high and decisions sharp — decluttering is more tiring than it sounds. Larger projects are spread across multiple sessions with a schedule we plan together upfront.

Will you judge the state of my home?

Never. A non-judgmental approach is at the core of everything we do. We’ve seen all kinds of spaces and our only goal is to help — not evaluate. Whatever your home looks like right now, you’re in the right place.

Moving Services

Can I book just packing, or just unpacking?

Absolutely. Packing and unpacking are available as standalone services — you don’t need to book both. Many clients hire us just to unpack and set up their new Richmond home after a move.

Yes. We offer high-quality new packing materials as well as discounted recycled boxes and packing paper in great condition — a more affordable and eco-friendly option. We’ll help you decide what you need during your consultation.

Do you provide packing supplies?

What do you do with boxes after unpacking?

We break down, flatten, and remove all boxes and packing materials when we’re done — your new home is left completely clean and clutter-free. Boxes and paper in good condition are saved and reused for future clients at a discount, reducing waste.

Do you work with fragile or valuable items?

Yes. We have experience packing artwork, antiques, electronics, and other delicate items with professional-grade materials and technique. For very large or exceptionally fragile pieces, we partner with reputable crating companies to ensure maximum protection.


What’s included in move management?

Move management is our most comprehensive service. It includes a floor plan for your new home, a custom relocation plan and timeline, vendor coordination and management, packing and unpacking (optional), move day supervision, and post-move support. Think of us as your personal project manager for the entire move.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and Apple Pay.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy will be provided during the booking process.

Yes! Home organizing and unpacking services make thoughtful, practical gifts. You can purchase a gift card directly on our website. We offer “Welcome Home,” Happy Moving,” and “Fresh Start Awaits” cards in various amounts.

Do you offer gift cards?

How much do your services cost?

Every project is different, so we provide personalized estimates after your free consultation. As a reference point, packing and unpacking services start at $80/hr, and design & space planning starts at $200/hr. We’ll always give you a clear, upfront estimate before any work begins — no surprises.

How do I purchase a gift card?

Do gift cards expire?

No, but we would recommend redeeming your gift card within one year for the best experience.

Can gift cards be redeemed for cash?

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

What services can gift cards be used for?

Our “Welcome Home” and “Happy Moving” cards can be used towards any services. The “Fresh Start Awaits” card is to only be used towards booking organizing sessions.
